• Officer Joseph Harrington

    Officer Joseph Harrington, a Branford native, joined the department in September 2012. Officer Harrington, along with classmate Officer Hart, recently graduated from the Police Officers Standards and Training Council at the Connecticut Police Academy and has successfully completed the required 10 week Field Training Officer program.

    Officer Harrington graduated from Branford High School in 2003. Harrington attended Southern Connecticut State University to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in History. Prior to becoming a Branford officer, Harrington worked as a Paraprofessional at The Cedarhurst School in Hamden. Harrington’s father, Kenneth Harrington Sr. served the Branford Fire Department for 27 years and his older brother, Kenneth Harrington Jr, served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps.

    Officer Harrington is excited to begin a career as a police officer for the town of Branford and is eager to serve the community he grew up in.
