Part-Time Police Academy

The Branford Police Department has been approved by the Police Officers Standards and Training Council (POSTC) as a satellite training academy.  The department plans to host its first training session in September 2008. 

The training academy will be conducted two nights per week and at least one weekend per month.  Upon completion of the academy, recruits will meet the same requirements as POSTC's traditional full time academy. 

This is an opportunity for people who are interested in a career in law enforcement and continue to keep their current job while attending the academy. We are currently accepting applications for the position of supernumerary officer.  Applications can be obtained at the Branford Police Department or downloaded below.
